Purse Security

Who are we?  Well, the best part of this story is that we are just like you. Both of us are working mothers doing our best to take care of our families. Back in 2005, we had this “idea” for handbag security, but initially we did nothing about it. We tossed around the idea for about six months before coming to the conclusion that if we didn’t create it, someone else would!

From that moment on we became very passionate about our idea and we worked almost obsessively on it. Surprisingly, it only took us three months to create very primitive prototypes, write a provisional patent and find a reputable metal manufacturer.

The manufacturers were located in Rhode Island, some with offices in NYC, and so we took a leap of faith and traveled from Chicago to the East Coast. Following our intuition, as we had done throughout this whole process, we chose to go with the first manufacturer we met and cancelled all five other appointments.

Countless hours of research were spent to accomplish all of these daunting tasks, but the point is…we had a dream and we followed that dream. Here we are just about two years from the idea’s inception and we are now bringing the PersLock to you!

This might sound cliché, but if we can do this…so can you!  Don’t let anyone or anything stand in your way. ROADBLOCKS ARE SIMPLY OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPROVE!

As best of friends for almost 30 years, we have loved taking this journey together and we have learned a myriad of lessons along the way.  The greatest gift it has taught us is to believe in ourselves and to follow our hearts. That is what this is all about.
